I have been teaching for three years. All three have been at St. John’s Lutheran in the Kindergarten and First Grade. Prior to teaching here, I taught preschool ages 2 years – 4 years at Discovery Youth Center, and also worked in the Preschool room at St. John’s Lutheran Daycare.
I grew up in Sparta IL where I attended St. John’s Lutheran Preschool and then the public school K-12. I was accepted to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where I earned my bachelors in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in Special Education.
My family includes my husband Ryan and my two daughters, Olivia and Aubrey. Ryan and I have been married for six years, but have been a couple for over fourteen years. He and I met in high school and attended the same college. Ryan is a Correctional Officer at Menard Penitentiary. Olivia is five and in kindergarten at St. John’s Lutheran, and loves every minute of it. Aubrey is one and she spends her days with various family members.
When I am not busy preparing lesson plans and teaching, I enjoy reading, baking, but mostly I enjoy spending time with my family.
