I have been teaching at St. John’s Lutheran since 2012 and have been consecutively teaching 3rd grade since 2019. 

I grew up in Sparta IL where I attended St. John’s Lutheran Preschool and then the public school system for K-12. I was accepted to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where I earned my bachelors in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in Special Education.

My family includes my husband Ryan and my two daughters, Olivia and Aubrey. Ryan and I have been married since 2008, but have been a couple since 2000. He and I met in high school and attended the same college. Ryan is a Correctional Counseler at Menard Penitentiary. Olivia and Aubrey both attend St. John’s Lutheran. 

When I am not busy preparing lesson plans and teaching, I enjoy reading, baking, and organizing, but mostly I enjoy spending time with my family.
