Pastor Brian Nowak has served St. John’s Lutheran Church and School as Associate Pastor since July 1, 2021.  He has been provided with a unique opportunity in that he serves not only as Associate Pastor at St. John’s, but also serves as the Sole Pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Baldwin, IL.  He thoroughly enjoys the ministry into which God has called him and enjoys comforting, leading, and teaching God’s people.

Pastor Nowak grew up on the Southside of Chicago.  He worked as an Underwriter in the mortgage industry for over 16 years.  During his time in the mortgage industry, he worked for many different companies.  Brian felt the Lord calling him towards something greater, so in May 2021, He completed his education at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis where he obtained his Master’s in Divinity degree.

Pastor Nowak and his wife, Heather, were married in 2000.  They have been blessed with three children, Taylor, Matthew, and Lilly.  They are all die-hard Chicago CUBS fans.  Brian enjoys watching movies with his family, working on cars, home improvement, golfing, fishing, and, of course, cheering for his beloved Chicago CUBS.
