St. John’s Lutheran Church and School has always been a big part of my life. I was born and raised here in Red Bud. I was blessed with loving Christian parents who knew the value of a Christian education. My father also taught at St. John’s for 43 years. I was raised in a family of eight children and we always had the love and support of our family here at St. John’s. Our church supported me prayerfully and financially; and I was able to attend college to earn my teaching degree and graduate in 1988. With the aid of our congregation I have also taken many classes towards my Master in Education degree.

I taught for four years at Good Shepard Lutheran in Collinsville, IL until I was extended a call to teach here at St. John’s in 1992. I have been blessed with a loving husband of 21 years, Randy, and two children, Jacob and Maria; both attending college at this time.

I have taught 1st grade for 26 years and love this age. I have the privilege, everyday, of witnessing the child-like faith that these children have for Jesus. I have always felt the love and support of my family and co-workers here, and I feel very blessed to be a part of the ministry here at St. John’s Lutheran.
