Kristin Sachtleben

Eighth Grade (Grades 6-8)

I grew up in Red Bud, and I was raised in a Christian home where faith, family, and hard work were highly valued. I attended and graduated from St. John’s Lutheran School with a love of learning, and I knew then that I wanted to become a teacher. After graduation from Red Bud High School, I went on to Concordia University in River Forest, IL where I graduated with my degree in Elementary Education and a Middle School Math Endorsement. After college, I accepted a call to teach 6th grade at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Collinsville. I taught there for four years until I had my first child and decided to stay at home to raise my children. I am married, and I have four children who all attend St. John’s Lutheran School because faith and education are a priority for our family. I am teaching 5th, 7th, and 8th-grade math at SJL. My faith is the cornerstone of my life, and I’m excited to share my love of Jesus and math with my students.
