St. John’s Lutheran Cross Country team had their first Varsity meet of the season at SIU E on Saturday. Front row L to R: Aubrey Piel, Lucas Guebert, Nick Fehr, Byron Schlueter. Back Row, Avery Piel, Michael Watters, Ben DeRousse, Dylan Roscow and Ethan Fritsche. Earning points for their team were the top 5 male finishers: Nick Fehr, Ethan Fritsche, Ben DeRousse, Byron Schlueter and Dylan Roscow. Earning a medal individually, for finishing in the top 50 of their race: for the boys, Nick Fehr (24th of 120) and for the girls team, Avery Piel (17th of 110) and Aubrey Piel (21st of 110). 230 runners competed at the meet on the Elementary school level, the course distance was 1.86 miles. The Cougars are coached by Julie Fehr.
